My first knitted hat

My first knitted hat

As it is still quite cold I thought a hat would be a nice quick project. I saw a photo of a hat I liked on some Danish site and conjured up a pattern to emulate it. I think I did quite well, ha! I knitted the hat in just a few hours with some circulars I happened to have. The crown is crocheted.
The wool is from a frogged scarf I've had for some years, so I don't know what brand it is

Great colours and it looks really warm as well - I like the curly edging on the crown

That's an interesting hat. I like the shape. Is the bumpy section knitted or crocheted? I can't tell from the picture.

Thanks,b oth of you!
The curly edge is knitted. To make this I knitted in the front and back of every stitch. I did this for three rows. (In the end I had 240 stitches on my circulars!) Then I did one row in stockinette without the increase and BO.
